Our History

A Legacy of Light & Craftsmanship

Our Origins

Our story began in 1898, when William and Anne Lee Willet founded a stained glass and decorating studio in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. From those humble beginnings, a tradition of artistry, innovation, and timeless craft was set in motion — one that has continued for more than 125 years.

1898

A New Chapter

Over the decades, the studio continued to grow and evolve. In 1946, James E. Hauser founded his own art glass company in Winona, Minnesota, expanding the tradition of stained glass artistry with a shared commitment to craftsmanship, design excellence, and innovation.

United Legacy

In 1977, the two studios joined forces, forming Willet Hauser—one of the largest and most respected stained glass studios in the world.
